甚麼是評議會?What's Union Council

評議會是香港公開大學學生會的最高立法、監察及司法機構,為公大學生組成的議會,各學院會、系會、聯會和屬會直接附屬評議會,故上述組織均有各自有代表直接進入評議會內,成為評議員,並加上經普選產生的幹事會代表團、民選評議員及編輯委員會代表和三名去屆學生會代表。評議會負責代表逾二萬名學生會基本會員的權益,監察幹事會、編輯委員會及轄下組織等的運作等,並訂定影響全體基本會員權益的學生會附則(包括轄下組織之會章)。 

 

The Union Council is the legislative, supervising and judicial authority of the Union, which act as the parliamentary body representing all students in OUHK. There are various representatives in the Union Council who representing different interests group. The composition of the Union Council including the Student Associations for the four Academic Schools and three Affiliated Clubs Association, the Ex-officio member from the Executive Committee, Editorial Board and the previous session representative; and the Popularly Elected Councillors. Every Student Association shall select or elect two councillors as their representative in the Union Council. Besides, the Union Council is also responsible for representing the interests of more than 20,000 ordinary members of the Students' Union, supervising the work conditions of the Executive Committee, the Editorial Board and its affiliated societies or sub-organisation, etc. Moreover, the Union Council shall set out the by-laws or regulations which are used to legitimate and ensure the act of the Union could affect the interests of all ordinary members.

  • 香港公開大學學生會已於2008年8月重新成立。

  • 在學生會屆期期間,任何註冊修讀公大學分課程的學生均於有關屆期期間享有會籍所賦予的各項權利。 學生會的宗旨在於作為學生及公大和其他團體的溝通橋樑、在同學之間樹立校風、改善學生福利、為學生提供更廣泛和更優質的社交活動及學習機會;以及作為學生的代表。 

  • 幹事會、編輯委員會及學生會評議會的選舉 每一屆期的幹事會、編輯委員會以及學生會評議會七名經選舉產生的成員應根據學生會會章的選舉規例選出。

  • The President of the Students’ Union (a.k.a President of the Executive Committee) is an ex-officio member of the University Council in OUHK.

  • The Students’ Union (Union) aims to foster a spirit of unity, independence, and democracy among students as well as to promote and safeguard the rights and welfare of its members.

  • On a wider base, it aims to improve relations between its members and the members of other tertiary institutions and the entire community. All students studying in a credit-bearing course in the university, based on the Ho Man Tin Campus, are eligible for full membership of the Union.

  • The Union enjoys a high degree of autonomy in running its own affairs. Members of the Union have the right to stand for election as office-bearers, who are responsible for various aspects of student life. Members can exercise their power through General Polling and General Meeting.

  • The constitution of the Union has been approved by the Committee of Student Affairs and the Council. Changes to the constitution, when approved, shall be submitted to the Council for written approval.
